Yuba City is the county seat of Sutter County, California, United States. It is the principal city of the Yuba City Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Sutter County and Yuba County. As of January 1, 2006, the city had a total population of 62,083, while the metro area’s population was 165,080. It is the 21st largest metropolitan area in California ranked behind Redding and Chico and home to Cochrane Insurance & Annuity Services.
