The Yuba City area is 40 minutes north of Sacramento and is part of the Sacramento Valley. Sutter County is also home to the smallest mountain range in the world (the Sutter Buttes). The area is sometimes called the “Feather River Valley” named for the river that divides Yuba City from its neighbor Marysville.
