In April of 2005 REACH Air Ambulance came to an agreement with Shasta Regional Medical Center that they would take over and continue the Air Medical program for the hospital. REACH will continue to be the preferred air medical provider for Shasta Regional Medical Center. The medical crew with REACH is highly trained, typically having extensive Emergency, Critical care and EMS backgrounds. REACH has one of the best Crew-member training programs in the nation and is overseen by medical directors that have countless years of experience in Emergency medicine and Pediatric Critical Care. REACH is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems and has been since 1998. They are leaders in the arena of Medical Flight Transportation as they have had many “firsts” in the industry including there own GPS routes and approaches to some of hospitals in Northern California. REACH has Instrument Rated aircraft and use night vision technology while flying at night. REACH has safely transported more than 37,000 patients throughout the last 21 years.
